Keep this on the down-lo, as I'm not sure how we want to play it yet, but Russians are claiming credit for the Stern puppet. Jake was contacted by Sky's sockpuppet first, and Stern Seven was created to bait Sky.
Seems to have worked as Sky leaked his real username and other users as well. Fortunately, the intel he leaked was pretty common knowledge to both networked Russians and Americans and did not reach Severus or the cult.
Russians have stated that they will not target Aarin (VC prostitute) tonight, as their hits can go through him with the tech upgrade and it gives us a for-sure VC lynch tomorrow. Without the VC lynch tomorrow for both sides to rally on, they fear Americans will try to target Jake.
Who, if you suspend Severus cult paranoia for one second, is obviously the Russian Chairman. That's why the American Assassin's hit was absorbed when they tried to "go after Severus" by putting a hit on Jake. Plus our clue about the Russian Chairman being hit at. Lastly, the Russians have gone and verified this.
Thing is, Americans or we ourselves could go after the VC Prostitute. If he's out, then the voting next sequence will be much more interesting.
I'll let a russian contact sum it up:
Jake is not Severus, nor has anything to do with Severus. He is a confirmed Russian, at least confirmed to the best of my abilities.
What they did was create a sockpuppet account pretending to be Severus to try to milk info out of Sky. Sky replied to the sockpuppet saying that he was a Citizen and could join up with the cult.
If this was what Sky was meaning when he said he would try to find out mafia from Severus, then he's barking up the wrong tree. However since Sky knows of Link I'm wondering why he would be talking about the sockpuppet to you when he could talk directly to Link :
What's behind this is that Sky claims that Dukat used his last hit to hit Jake (dunno if his hit got refunded?) and Jake didn't die. So this is really an excuse to lynch a Russian :
There is still Aarin though. Aarin has been telling people that he can switch factions: or at least that's what Kaiba heard, that Mei Ling could switch. However I don't think that's really the case, because Aarin has also told ME that if all other VC die he would try to help ME win. I doubt that, but the ME and I have a tenuous alliance: I'd prefer them as allies over Americans who do have to kill us after all :vv I think their win may in fact be similar, otherwise they wouldn't feel so free to share another member with me.
The thing is, Aarin was the mafia contact with ME (used to be THG). So maybe if he is lynched, one of the remaining mafia would try to contact again. If there's another VC you know though, would be better since they'd have hit power. Day 5 I'll have my guys run some checks on that huge vote list, and Gabe will also faction check to try to find a VC so hopefully >___>
Gabe is the ME contact, claiming to be their president.
Here is that huge cat list:
BBC
Lil2Saturn
3Power
TheWinkel
Sagi
zero_kanipan
Argui
TheBigN
Sarck
No intel on any of them, no chatter.
Chances are that if Aarin is hit, the US/USSR unity will break down and we will have Americans voting to lynch Jake and Russians voting to lynch Sky.
Unless Sky gets his head outta his butt and stops being all butthurt about getting duped by a sockpuppet. He may if the EU vouch for the Jake + sockpuppet bait story, but if we don't he may cling to his paranoia.
Thoughts?

BBC reached out to me at the start which he usually does if he's not in a ready made faction so i'm guessing he's American or USSR (i assume the ME know each other?)
ReplyDeleteLil's use of flags struck me as a way to signal people without opening himself up so i doubt he's VC.
Zero and winks seems to be really quiet.
ok so the Seven sock just dropped that Jake is the chairman...
ReplyDeleteTHis infighting is good :)
Stage had already heard from the Russians about Jake, and had explained as much in the blargh, but I guess this clenches it. I still have to wonder if Sky's not the American Prez though. I guess he figures that Jake is protected enough that he doesn't have to worry. WTF Umi, making Jakey the Chairman ^^;
ReplyDeleteAfter culling the recently dead from the list, we're left with the following:

Lil2Saturn
Sagi

The VC must be thinking that MP is invulnerable, or else they would have surely hit him by now ^^;
I think sky is the prez and likely fucked his faction by working with BK at the start. This last moment push to get Jake lynched is a hail mary to do SOMETHING good in the game as the US is fucked because he has no kill power except for the assassin (who he already sold up the river) and possibly hidden roles.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a decent enough bet. If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. Let's just time-line it out:
ReplyDeleteGame starts. Sky, who's always been overly-friendly with BK and completely unable to discern when to STFU, get's cozy with her, not knowing that she's the VC General. Sky reveals that he's American, and continues to ply BK with info on his various associates and knowledge on the assumption that BK is American as well. His various compatriots mysteriously die until BK herself dies and is revealed.
Sky goes LOLWUT and tries to backpedal claiming ignorance, but unfortunately, the VC continues to hit his people. The remaining people, fully knowing that Sky is a yogurthead for BK, cut off communication and refuse to talk to him because he's been compromised. So now, the only way to make up for it is this "crying wolf" about Jake, the Russian chairman. However, the rest of us aren't stupid.
All in all, he fucked himself, he knows it, he and his team will pay the consequences, much like I did in Game 7 :/ It's unfortunate, but live and learn... or, in this case, die ^^;
