The proxy mine did Spada's work for us and took out Mire. It was a close call, but great job bumpkin on getting it done!
If only I could have forseen, I would have asked Spada to hit Jake or Sky instead.
But no matter! There's always the possibility that Mire would not have hit the only member of our team with a mine on him, and getting the last hitter out of the game was top priority because..
We now dominate the day and night cycle.
I issued the following ultimatum to Sky:
I discussed it with my team, and personally, they think that you are a more palatable target then Jake.
First, we don't know the extent of your medical tech, so for all we know you could be safe from night hits. Jake's safety was tied to his bodyguard, who was taken out.
Second, since you are not providing nuke shelters for very obvious reasons to the EU, then keeping you around only serves to protect the last Russian standing.
I am inclined to agree. The only real viable interest in keeping you around another cycle is the benefit of having you vote with us, instead of myself or my team members.
If we don't see your vote for Jake by 10PM est this evening, my group has been instructed to go ahead and vote for you. If, however, you are voting for Jake, then we will vote with you.
I could have extended this offer to Jake, who has more voting power than you and is possibly easier to kill, but then I actually do want to see if the bought time will let you do anything epic before this game winds down.
Mainly, I think Sky is more willing to play ball with us on this, because his need for self preservation in-game trumps his reasoning to do what is best for his team. Plus, he's more active and interactive than Jake has been in this game.
Russia and USA uniting is the only hope they have of taking down anyone in the EU for this cycle. Here's hoping my offer destroys this possibility. I'm also hoping that my push for him to vote /now/ triggers Jake to vote for Sky. If he's smart enough to vote for us, and we get hacked, then we've got big problems.

Or Plans Completely Different!
Boo to Umino hacking my beautiful plan by killing Shadowblade. Knowing that USSR would go for deading both vets at once, I stuck the non-lynched one in the shelter. ;_;
But oh well, play the cards that you are dealt~
So Spada is our only hitter, with 2 left.
Count. --Umino has informed me after prodding-- is my bodyguard, so he can't hit.
That only leaves Spada to protect with a proxy mine. Count. gogo~

- I still don't trust CAB, but offing him is a big maybe to take this round.
- Mire has shown the ability to hit after taking out both Lovers.

Plans and stuff
Okay, now I'm mostly posting so the dead heads in-blog have something interesting to read.
We're voting for Gabe, if I don't get hacked it might work.
Sky is putting the bomb shelter on Shadowblade Edge since if they're lynching count, then they're probably nuking Shadow to try to get both vets out in one round.
Whether or not this works depends on TDW not voting, Link not hacking, Sky voting with EU, and all of us voting. We'd squeak by with -one- bitty vote.
After that, I think USSR is out of nukes?
Night phase:
If our vets are still around, target CAB and Eyolo. We have to kinda cross our fingers that USSR doesn't think to proxy mine ME and has TDW protect himself.
There's a breakdown in communication with the Russians, they might even send Eyolo in to take out Sky, since it will be presumed that Spada and I are proxy mined.
Stick a proxy mine on Sky.
TDW or Eyolo or both will probably go after Sky carrying the assumption that the EU is proxied up and thus not hittable.
(I know that TDW has been kept out of the loop in USSR and likes to act on his own and be secret, so I'm thinking Eyolo is the one doing the organizing over there and maybe Jake to a periphery extent.)
They/He goes after Sky to eliminate his nuke protection use for us and gets an unpleasant boom surprise. Actually, I'm thinking the ME might do that and am tempted to put both proxy mines on Sky and target Mires instead of Eyolo. That one is risky, but could actually take out all the Russians tonight. Why not win/lose spectacularly?
I thought about going after Jake, but after the attempt on Gabe and the weird results, would it even work? Maybe with no bodyguard. If Spada has hits left, I'd send him on Jake.
Possible scenarios:
1) TDW and Eyolo hit Sky, go boom. CAB is hit, Jake is hit, Mires is hit. We win. :v
2) TDW does not hit, Eyolo hit Sky and goes boom. Hit CAB, hit Mires. Jake super-dodges or Spada can't hit. ME is out and Russia has x3 vote tomorrow with Jake and TDW still standing.
There are more, but they get convuluted. and don't look pretty for us. Let's hope our vets are both alive for this to work.
One factor I forgot to consider is a CAB ninja-vote. He'll tie the lynch vote and kill the count. :/
I guess we can only hope he's not faking and actually is on the outs with USSR, so doesn't vote. Of course, if he's trying to get back in this is the way to do it. -.-

I've played this role as far as I can go with it. My death would actually be a best case scenario this evening. Without my vote to hack from Link, and successful hits to trim down the voting next day phase, we should still dominate lynches.
Sky-pants will be giddy as a schoolgirl and more willing to cooperate with EU since this "ding-dong the witch is dead moment" absolves the EU. I mean, that backstabbing thing was all me. You guys were ttly puppets, amirite? :v
Meanwhile, there's no bad blood with harlock. If the vet came through on the proxy mine (bitch better .v.) than he should be safe and an unpleseant surprise should meet any hitter that night who goes for him.
So I shall sip tea in the afterlife, sure I didn't make it to end game, but I didn't have to. I just needed EU to win. n.n

Failsafes~
Ok people. Just spent awhile chatting with CAB. He claims he's locked out of the Russian blog, is on his own, and I'm fairly confident that he'll play ball with us for the vote.
However, he mentioned something rather dire. Remember how when l33tguard died, ZEE MISSILE was fired and killed poor Yuri (natch: Eladnarra?) CAB was told by BoD to NOT go after Sky under ANY circumstances. This gives CAB the idea that Sky and BoD BOTH have failsafes, and might also imply that the Russian Chairman has a failsafe as well.
Knowing Sky, his missile is undoubtedly pointed at Stage, being that the believes that she's snubbed him, which may or may not be true. :v Regardless, this could make the BoD vote unsafe, although it's better than the consequences. Hypothetically, CABs kill could eliminate BoD before he's able to activate his failsafe, but we don't have that sort of time to wait around :/
At any rate, it sounds like CAB and the ME are potentially allies right now, and we have moar votes for the lynch on BoD. I haven't spoke with Eyolo yet about the lynch vote... Eyolo is their last night hit available, so he will be under a lot of pressure from BoD...

3power really hasn't said anything to me yet, but frankly the two of us are most interested in seeing Sky dead. He knows everything about me, and hence knows I'm one of the lovers - I kinda want him dead before he gets the chance to possibly leak said info. Of course this is all dependent on 3power, who hasn't said a whole lot.
Also, anyone can give me a summary of what is going on? Haven't been paying too much attention, and I really don't want to go through this entire blog.

The Middle East factor
There's a chance this has already been talked over already, and I've missed it. But the Middle East could be a problem, and we might want to factor them into our plans as well. From what I'm aware of, ME's win condition is to win with one of the SUPERPOWERS. ie: Russia or America. NOT European Union. Maybe that's changed now, and they can win with us. But I think it would be better to assume that they're working with Russia until we know otherwise.

So let's talk lynches!
Our primary concerns are Russian Conscripts who now have infinite hitting power, the sniper, and the scientist.
The assassin depleted his hits last night and is effectively neutered short of a research upgrade.
I know that TheDivineWind is actually Tanya and that he has proxy mines, but not of the other users: Mire and uncreative.
I think our best option is to halt Russian arms development and lynch bod this cycle. Everyone voting gets us 10 votes, barring hax. 12 if we pool the new guys in.
Russians have 5.
That leaves swing votes for ME and USA, which USSR has more pull over. They total 3. We can do this, but we'll really need our new guys to step up in order to pull this off.

Intrigue
Mostly thought up to keep News Reporters from getting bored. :p
Fake EU drama:
Since Sky-pants has already taken a public anti-EU stance in the thread and is seeding propaganda into our clues, why not have some fun with it?
Say there is unrest and division between the EU Head and the rest of the team. After all, while there is a very real threat of Russian attack, she blindly follows their orders at the expense of the EU and USA citizens! Not to mention, she's TOTALLY been withholding intel on the USA medic to America, who is TOTALLY TheBigN (I don't know this for a fact, but why not bluff and see if it's right?) and sold out the american sniper!
Not sure what this would do other than make Sky more willing to divulge the USA game plan, distract their vote targeting on the thin hope of stealing the EU away from Russia in voting cycles, and general lols, but it's something to try out. :v
I'm open to any suggestions or any other/better plans users want to try out.

Night Phase Agenda
1) World War 2 Vets: PM Umi requesting landmine protection for major_pain (Shadowblade Edge) and Spada (count.bumpkin). You will be PMd as well. :v
2) Maurice: Target a Sabina suspect to try to impede the fall of the Berlin Wall. Lil2Saturn has been confirmed as the bodyguard. TBN is suspected of being the awol medic as his votes Day3-6 do not coordinate with that of the Americans. That leaves Sagi, TTR, and Kaiba as possible Sabina. We take Sagi, Russians take Kaiba, and ME can take TBN. 2/3 chance of hitting Sabina.

War II Veterans will now be able to choose a target every night phase. At that target’s house, they will plant a proximity mine that will blow up if someone tries to enter the house. The mines have to be replanted every night.

I was celebrating our victory over the VC when I read my clues for today:
Russian ICMB’s now 60% complete, Dr. Svetlana confirms.
Where Alexander goes, Sergey is sure to follow.
If this is to be believed, we are in some serious trouble. This confirms that the Russians are producing nukes, and that the clue we received from Umi about them targeting European cities might not be that much of a lie after all. Seeing this, BoD's plan comes firmly into focus.

Game over?
Sky has posted, claiming that the US "surrenders." I don't know if Umi has seen it or not, or if he's even going to allow the US to surrender. I was thinking about posting what the mafia SHOULD have done in order to win. Most of what Sky says in his post is BAWWWW and complaining, but I don't agree with his thought that the EU was acting as a mafia force. His claims that the VC were screwed is complete ballocks as well, being that had the VC been a bit better organized, they would have been able to really wreak havoc.
Example:
Night 1: Kill Meri and/or MP, thereby cutting off double lynch AND Diplomat abilities, leaving EU with two reporters, and two veterans that really can't do anything at all
Day 2 Lynch: This is always awkward, but would usually result in the death of one faction or the other (i.e. Robyn, American)
By allowing Meri to live for an extra day or two, this resulted in BK's death as well as additional networking. By allowing MP to survive for the duration, this provided us with access to all tech from all zones, and empowered our veterans to become hitters.
Poor game organization isn't to blame for the VC's loss. Poor player planning and organization does.
Anything else, is simply BAWWW.

I had a nice conversation with Sky tonight. It seems that he is quite intent on the death of you Stage. It seems you shunned him, and this warrants your demise. He's nothing if not a woman scorned~
That being said, it seems that he all but confirmed that the clue about the nukes was a complete fabrication. Quoted below:

Our veterans might worry BoD a bit though, being that he might very well expect us to turn on him given the opportunity, but there's nothing to be gained from doing that, so I don't really foresee this happening, although he did mention that a lynch vote on Jake would open the proverbial can of worms. Thoughts: Public veteran and public reporter should vote. Hidden vet and reporter stay hidden?
Diplomat and EU head should ninja-vote
2) Put the final touches on the giant list of who's-who mafia. Awaiting one more faction check.
3) Release list info to EU and prepare for our endgame pt.1 tonight.
4) Ignore propaganda clue. If Sky-pants were smart he would have made it about ME, who's win condition we don't know.
5) Compile reporter clues as they relate to specific names and combine with Umino narratives where relevent.
6) News to print: none of it seems too scandalous. No reason not to play along with treating the fake clue as legitimate in the news cast, though I'd heavily advise against Walter asserting that we are siding with the Americans for reasons listed in comment on previous post. :/

1. For Jake to do something like this, he must have some secret ability. And I don't think he would be the only one with this ability, so the American president has something identical. If you could find out if that's really the case: then, the following things are possible.
1a. Severus converted Jake (By force I think because I don't see a reason for Jake to join willingly..), Jake is doing something.But then why didn't Severus convert you? major_pain? meri? If he's working with VC there's really no reason to convert *them*. In fact the greatest danger to VC was not that they were going to be hit, but that they kept on getting lynched: if teh cult had control over you, major, meri, they'd have vote power to stop the lynch.
They'd get whatever info you had, and the fact that the EU doesn't need to support anyone at all makes them less of a target.And anyways, why didn't he convert me? My role has to be pretty known since I got detective checked by the Americans, and the scientist is a much more important role than the chairman since tech boosts all Russian allies and by now the groups are pretty much set.

A Storm Approaches?
slDue to the Russian space launch, it looks as though the available targets for the two remaining VC and the one ME that can hit have been all but halved. Because if this, I find myself concerned on behalf of MP and the two reporters. BoD mentioned he was having his medic protect MP, but I'm not entirely certain that the VC are aware that MP can be killed. My little mistake by posting the Hard Gay photo for lulz seems to have directly a largish amount of attention on me from various people. The VC might be thinking about coming after me to prove that I'm not one of them, and being that there won't be any Russian targets available, this could make my surviveability all but nil.
I've passed the information for Walter C. in the forum to the other reporter. Hopefully, in the event that I do expire tonight, he'll be able to do something in my stead.
BoD said he was having Vasili (sniper) stalk Lil2Saturn tonight. Apparently, after stalking for three nights (it's two for the Russians thanks to their weaponry upgrades), the sniper can kill anybody; even those with protection (scientists, presidents, even including you Stage.)
The clue that I had from yesterday (Vasili Vs. Jack: Said Vasili "I'm on top!") makes me think that lil2Saturn is the other sniper who hasn't made a move because he doesn't know who to target. If that IS the case, this is pretty awesome, because it means that the Russian sniper will kill him before he can get a shot off.
BoD is incredibly nervous about tomorrow's lynch. He believes that we should have lynched Zero_kanipan today instead of Aarin. I'm inclined to agree with him, being that Aarin wasn't able to hit and was rendered effectively useless as a medic because of the double-hit technology upgrades; however, we cannot be sure that Zero isn't American because we don't have the detective means for it. If we were going to have our veterans hit anybody tonight, I would highly suggest they try to hit Zero.
In the meantime, I guess we just batten down the hatches and roll on.

It sounds like he's actually supporting us now, and is feeling very concerned about his well-being even though he's not killable. Ironic, no? If this doesn't reveal that he's Dr. Stevens, I don't know what else does. It also reveals that he has no idea who I am, which makes me *grin*
I'm going to still post the news tidbits I have. I'll leave out everything else though.

Semi-Plans
Keep this on the down-lo, as I'm not sure how we want to play it yet, but Russians are claiming credit for the Stern puppet. Jake was contacted by Sky's sockpuppet first, and Stern Seven was created to bait Sky.
Seems to have worked as Sky leaked his real username and other users as well. Fortunately, the intel he leaked was pretty common knowledge to both networked Russians and Americans and did not reach Severus or the cult.
Russians have stated that they will not target Aarin (VC prostitute) tonight, as their hits can go through him with the tech upgrade and it gives us a for-sure VC lynch tomorrow. Without the VC lynch tomorrow for both sides to rally on, they fear Americans will try to target Jake.
Who, if you suspend Severus cult paranoia for one second, is obviously the Russian Chairman. That's why the American Assassin's hit was absorbed when they tried to "go after Severus" by putting a hit on Jake. Plus our clue about the Russian Chairman being hit at. Lastly, the Russians have gone and verified this.
Thing is, Americans or we ourselves could go after the VC Prostitute. If he's out, then the voting next sequence will be much more interesting.

If you can give me the names of some/all of the remaining mafia, I can try to trade them off to various places to build up credibility with others, especially the European Union, and get some names in response. I will attempt to link them to clues, and not just say 'Oh I heard xyz' because they will ask 'Who did you hear it from?' and that is how Grimblaze died.
I have already had some preliminary contact with Stageninja because she wanted me to try to reign in Dukat - we wanted him to hit The Humble Grasshopper, but instead he went after Bringerofdoom (apparently). It seems she is under the impression I am responsible for the networking in the USA, so if we play our cards right she will feed us many more US names in time.
It seems Bringerofdoom is immune to night hits. Consequently they sent FemaleFox after whomever they thought you are, and that is Alexandar in the narrative. It seems they guessed right. We don't have much time to distract them.
I think the best chance for our survival is to focus others attention on the mafia, and wipe out the vocal elements of the EU so that they can't galvanise a resistance against us. If USA and Russia both turn to wiping us out after they finished with the VC, it's a disaster for us. So it's convenient for us if the VC lives a little longer and we manipulate them into doing our work for us.
I will be your catspaw in this situation. I can broker a deal with the EU and the VC and turn them against each other. In the process, I will win confidence with the general population for finding mafia, and with my own faction. From this situation victory should be easy, but if you are lynched today it's all for nothing. Worst case scenario VC take me down this night phase but it's better I get hit than you get lynched, mmm?
What enemy roles are you particularly interested in finding, and I will try to dig them up?

What Have We Learned?
First things first...
Dukat's vote was put back onto himself because he voted for "Link" and not "Septim Severus." I'm inclined to think that all votes put to Link will re-route back to their owners, unless the vote is listed as such. Something to think about tomorrow "morning".
Second of all, if the narrative is to be believed, it sounds like Septim and his cult are moving against us. We've seen no outright movements to back this up, but everything that Umi has listed in the narrative has proved to be true to this point, so I wouldn't think to argue ^^;. A lynch of Septim, barring an explanation what his conditions (if any) are would be nice. We know that Jake is at least one possible member. I'm inclined to think that the "Seven" cockpuppet is Septim (i.e. Link) mocking Sky and being generally surly. I don't see Jake typing that well :P
Also, presumably, due to the results of the day, Sky really IS American, and an American with an axe to grind against Septim. This would be something useful to exploit if Septim really is against us (see: EU).
All in all, there are some good things to think about for tonight. However, if we're going to hit anybody, I would suggest Aarin, being that he's most assuredly not American, Russian or EU. I would have said Jake, but Sky had already stated that it was futile, because his attacks were absorbed.
Something else to think about... What if we proposed an alliance with the ME against Septim? Although they moved against the Americans, and my Walter supposition that the Americans have to die for the ME to win is highly likely, we can use the whole "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing. The fact that both Link and Jake cannot be killed at the moment makes me nervous :/

What's Going on in Mafia
Both Russians and Americans have decided to act on a lynch to THG, based off of intel that he is the VC Inflitrator. This intel is not as confirmed as I would like it to be, but will be if the lynch is successful. If it's wrong, I can assure you that THG won't be the only one with a known identity in the forum thread. .V.
That being said, this guy needs to get hanged for that to work. I will eat my hat if this intel doesn't get checked because someone /else/ got the lynch instead. Since our vets have the extra life to carry a hit out, I would suggest they to be the ones from us, if any to vote. The one talking to sockpuppets believed to be either American or Russian might be the least out of place in this vote, but wait until you see other voters besides me so that you have some cover. The rest of you might not want to be compromised like that. You won't show up as checks, so either EU or omg, VEECEE. You don't need that attention.
If major wishes to vote this would help.

The Loss of a True Patriot and A Revelation
SAlas, poor Meri, we knew ye well. It seems the VC finally pulled their heads out of their collective asses and actually made a smart move for the first time in the game. Unfortunately, you had to be the one in the middle. You did a great job for the short time that you were here, and we will make damn sure that we lynch the remaining VC during the day. You shall be avenged~

Stepping Up Plans
Great job everyone so far! As much of a headache as it is to communicate with the other factions, having savvy players on your own team makes this job easy. So, without further adieu, agendas.
Veterans: Our sekrit embedded veteran is advised to step it up with his work with the Americans and play it cautious patriot. Readings Captain~
Aarin came forward to me today asking for my read on Sky, BK, Neo, Obama, and the National Deficit.
I downplayed my role (non-role) and he revealed that he was nation. He also made an odd comment that we might be on the same side.
Oh mighty Stage-sama, please reveal to me in your infinite grace and wisdom whether he is of the brethren or not.
I'm assuming not though.
Also, he (may) know that BoD is Russian, but probably doesn't know that he's El Doctor.

More Questions Than Answers
Ok, so many interesting tidbits came out of the narrative today:
Firstly, Neo somehow voted for himself. This is highly unlikely to be something that he did on purpose, unless the speculation on whether he had to die to join the "true faith" hold true. BoD's speculations that the "corn-on-the-cob" could be referring to the American sockpuppet makes me a little concerned because that means that the Americans killed their own. The International Relations degree makes me wonder as well. It might be wise to sort through everyone's profile descriptions and see if anyone has an International Relations degree listed as something they have or do.
The unspeculated theory thus far is that Neo was the same role he was last game (i.e. Harlequin i.e. Masquerader) and they knew about it and killed him. With his back and forth after the whole "What? Me? Lynch BK?" jazz, it could very well be possible.
In the meantime, I haven't received any clues from Umi about this and I doubt we will. It seems our reporting only covers the night actions.
I'm going to still put together a news blurb about it (mostly for the lulz) and I'll probably throw a few of these speculations out there. Think I should throw in some smoke about the VC?

The lot of you duckies may wish to keep your email address and screennames in here vague and not easily traced to you, lest our blog become compromised.
I myself have opted not to since I highly doubt I would be fooling anyone and already have a public role, and additionally you lot ought to know it's me posting since I know who all of you are.

Plans in the Making
A plan has been drafted, your input can refine it.
For glorious EU victory~~~
1) New Reporters will be pivitol for this to work. We start with revealing clues publically in the forum threads. Our Walter Cronkite sockpuppet will be the public newsbearer, which clues from both reporters will be revealed through. This will allow one of our News Reporters to operate publically while the other operates from the shadows.
IMPORTANT: The clues are to be posted in the EU blog first, before being leaked to the forum. I want to be sure we're not knocking off any of the assasins guarding me. They may be very important to our plans later.
While it is in our best interest for the superpowers to go after each other, the assassins are helpful to our cause ... as long as they are not targeting any of us. Then bitch gonna get lynched. Shouldn't be the case though. While we are not siding with either power, there is no need to go after us. Releasing clues is pretty non-partisan, as it names players from the superpowers and Vietcong indiscriminately.
Diplomat and International Court Grand Judge should be safe at the begining. Lynch-voting and pardons will become more of a priority later, but for now lie low. Diplomat looks into acquiring sexy technologies~
WW2 veterans, I'm sorry, are just clue finders. I was hoping with the extra night life power that they would be able to protect other faction members with their awesome beefiness, but Umi says lolno. If you guys have any ideas for making your roles more active, do speak up. Or any other players for that matter. Hopefully, technology can go a long way in giving your role a active ability.
2) By publically outing clues we will create a busy thread full of speculation to out and lynch the Russians and Americans. Basically, we get the two Superpowers to go after each other and kick up our feet and watch the ensuing wordswordswords. When one side begins to show a heavy favor, this is when our tactics change.
3) We will then be sending information exclusively one faction. At this point in the game we should be getting a fair idea of who is on which side, so we should at least be certain of one person - Russian or American - to leak the info to. At this point, it may be best that I leak the info, assuming both assassins are alive, as I'm a lot harder to kill than the rest of you and agents can confirm your identities (and your little sockpuppets too!).
There is the added possibility, of leaking _false_ clues to the other side as well. I would welcome WW2 veterans to do this as well, but as both superpowers have the ability to confirm your identity with agents, this can quickly put yourselves in grave night-hit danger. However, if we're clever about how we compose our false clues, we could have them chasing nothing and steering them away from the other superpower. By this point, all public figures should begin actively voting to lynch one superpower while pardoning and protecting the other.
4) VEITCONG threat must be neutralized. Suggestions? While leaking false information to one side, it may be beneficial to leak info on the Vietcong to both sides. Though with clues, you never know @_@.
